When the Lockport Chamber of Commerce (LCOC) has an open seat on the board of directors, it is filled from a pool of member candidates who have expressed an interest in serving on the board and meet the following criteria:
A Lockport Chamber of Commerce Member who:
• Has a strong belief in ethics, community involvement and the purpose of the LCOC
• Is available and willing to attend meetings once per month, unless otherwise required
• Has a great deal of enthusiasm and will participate in meetings, programs, and committees
• Is willing to chair or co-chair an LCOC program or event (Golf Outing, Expo, Installation Dinner, etc.)
The term of office for a Board Member is three years and begins in January of each year through December of the third year. A member may serve up to three consecutive terms.
